A West Monroe insurance agent has been booked on eight counts of insurance fraud.
The News-Star reports 26-year-old Michael Ryan Evans is accused of accepting, but failing to remit insurance premiums for customers on eight occasions, which caused their policies to be canceled even though they made payments to him.
The arrest affidavit said Evans failed to remit premiums between Sept. 23, 2009 and June 14, 2010 for several clients.
It was not immediately known whether Evans has an attorney.
